Over the past few months I have been talking with other writers about Kindle Direct Publishing and how to make money with Kindle.  I’ve been very encouraged by what I have learned and experimented with.

I’ve decided to put together a brief (and free) report about how to make money with Kindle publishing.  This will help freelance writers of any genre grow and supplement their income rapidly.  You already have loads of content ready to go.  With just a little finesse and some editing, you could have several profitable eBooks ready for Kindle in no time.

There are a large number of different online methods for freelance writers to make money, but Kindle is one of the most underutilized and potentially most profitable.  In fact, making money from Kindle is probably one of the best ways live the passive income dream shared by so many writers.

This is an opportunity to make money you’re sleeping, while you’re on vacation, or while you’re busy with other writing projects.  It’s a chance to sell your writing to a huge audience that includes everyone from the content hungry business owners to silver surfers, stay-at-home moms, students and everyone in between

I remember in 2010 when Amazon announced that eBook sales had surpassed paperback sales.  That should tell you just what a gigantic market you have to tap into.  This is a far cry from selling an eBook via a sales page on your website, which will only appeal to a relatively small audience.

How much can you make with Kindle?  Some writers are making several hundred thousand dollars a year from Kindle.  Once they’ve set that business up they don’t have to do anything much to keep it selling.

Kindle Direct Publishing is also a fantastic side business, it’s a brilliant way to diversify and to give yourself an additional income stream.   It can be a great way to make your writing business more resilient in the face of market changes.

This is a bit dated, but it was all I could get from my Kindle author friends.  This an actual monthly royalty statement he shared with me from back in 2013 when we had been selling Kindle eBooks for about 8 months.

(By the way, Stefan went on to create the premiere course for writers to make money on Kindle.)

If you have been writing consistently, even just for few months, creating and publishing on Kindle is relatively easy.  For instance, you can reuse old material this way and even use it to promote your other writing services.

Unlike other potential online income streams, you don’t need any particular tools or technical skills.  The main skill is the ability to write, though that’s negotiable too.  Using the writing you’ve already created, you can have an eBook up and running for sale on the marketplace in a matter of hours.

I don’t want to create the impression that this is a slam dunk way to writing riches.  Yes, it might be easier than beating the bushes for more writing clients, but there are caveats.

Making money on Kindle isn’t easy if you don’t know what you’re doing.   It’s a very saturated market with eBooks available in the US right now.  There are several irritating catches (see my post about the good and bad of Kindle Direct Publishing) like the high commission Amazon charges that you need to be aware of.

What you really need is some kind of map, almost like a guidebook that can help you to find your way through the world of Kindle to avoid the pitfalls and problems along the way.    A simple to follow blueprint to give yourself the highest chance of success.

If you’ll standby for just a couple of days, this is exactly what I am going to give you.

I am putting together a Kindle Direct Publishing report so you can start to make money with Kindle.    In this report I will show you…

  • Why you need to be selling books on Kindle
  • Why selling on Kindle is different
  • What makes a good ‘niche’ for Kindle books
  • Using SEO to get your books promoted
  • Getting the cover right
  • Writing the book excerpt
  • Marketing your eBook

You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can have your own book getting downloads and making money on Kindle within days. To begin with you might make a few dollars a week, but if you follow the advice in this report, you could potentially be earning thousands in next to no time.
